Mental Health Therapist

Position SummaryThe Pasadena Villa Outpatient Center psychotherapist serves as the primary clinician for clients receiving individual, family and group psychotherapy in the Partial Hospital Program and Intensive Outpatient Programs that serves primary mental health and Eating Disorders.
The psychotherapist is responsible for biopsychosocial assessments; treatment plan development, individual and family sessions and all clinical coordination or liaison activity.
The Psychotherapist acts as the client and family's primary contact during treatment at the center and serves as an advocate to meet the client's needs.
The Psychotherapist is also a liaison with referral sources and outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.
Relationships and ContactsWithin the organization:
Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with staff, clients, families, facility and peers throughout the organization.
Outside the organization:
Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as neededPosition ResponsibilitiesEssential ResponsibilitiesConducts screenings and biopsychosocial assessments.
Collaborates with the individual, family/significant other (if involved), and psychiatrist to develop and revise the treatment plan at the start of treatment and at time of change.
Provides psychotherapy (individual, group and family) services that support the individual's goals and objectives as outlined in their treatment plan.
Works with center Director to develop group programming curriculum and materials that foster participant engagement and clinical progress.
Effective communication and collaboration with Treatment Team, Director and/or other leadership during crisis or high-risk situations.
Serves as clinical liaison to the community representing the premiere level of service and clinical quality of Pasadena Villa Outpatient Center.
Maintains professional and timely documentation to inform clinical practice and meet standards as required by policy and procedure.
Coordinates disposition as needed for individuals stepping down to another level of care or otherwise terminating services at Pasadena Villa Outpatient Center.
Other needed tasks or roles as requested by Director.
Requirements
Experience:
Must be a fully licensed professional in Virginia such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Ph.
D.
psychologist, and/or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).
Minimum of two years' experience working with an emotionally disturbed population which preferable would include young adults and adults in mental health.
Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.
Experience in individual, group and family treatment.
Experience with co-occurring disorders, autism spectrum disorders and/or substance use disorders a plus.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to communication in a clear and concise manner with residents, families, all members of the treatment team and with the managed care representatives.
Must have good analytical ability to evaluate information reported by all members of the treatment team and revise treatment strategies accordingly.
Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments to inform diagnosis(es) and treatment planning.
Ability to develop and provide meaningful and interesting group programming rooted in evidenced based practice.
Intensively trained Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Registered Art Therapist, Certified Music Therapist preferred.
Experience with disposition planning and knowledge of local resources a plus.
Success in engaging clients, and family/significant other (if involved), in treatment to improve personal outcomes.
Minimum of two years' experience working with an emotionally disturbed population which preferable would include young adults and adults in the mental health or education fields.
Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.
Performs work independently, responsibly and with a high level of integrityEducation:
Must have a master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
