The combined skills of our Mohs and General Dermatology providers allows the practice to offer complete dermatologic care for every patient.
The practice provides a team-based approach to patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Absolute Dermatology is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our growing team! This is a great opportunity for a motivated and engaged individual.
This position requires travel between both of the Absolute Dermatology locations in Chesterfield and Henrico.
The MA is a multi-skilled health professional who works with other healthcare professionals to provide high quality care to patients.
The MA will be responsible for both clinical AND administrative duties.
Clinical duties Provide excellent customer service to patients at all times.
Room patients and obtain any necessary vital signs.
Obtain chief complaint, medication reconciliation, and update drug allergies.
Scribe SOAP note for provider during visit.
Procedure set up for biopsies, mole removals, and other procedures.
Assist with MOHS surgery.
Checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointments, and referral coordination/management.
Process biopsy specimens to be sent to laboratory.
Create requisitions for blood work.
After patient visit is completed the exam room table, chairs, stool, and counters must be wiped down with surface wipes.
Administrative duties Answer clinical web and telephone messages and record in EMR.
Scanning documents, label documents, and place in appropriate folders in EMR.
Patient form completion for record requests, ABN's, and consent forms.
Procedure room maintenance.
Clean and sterilize instruments.
Maintain autoclaves.
Organize and monitor prescription samples for expiration dates.
Supplies Exam rooms must be stocked daily Inventory and order supplies This position will primarily be based at the Glen Allen office.
However, applicant must be willing to travel to the Chesterfield office if staffing needs require.
