We need an evening closing kennel attendant and an evening closing receptionist.
As closing kennel attendant shifts you will be scheduled for will be 12/1/2/3-7pm.
As a receptionist shifts will be 12/1/2-7pm.
MUST BE AVAILABLE EVENINGS, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAYS.
Requirements minimum of 1 year experience in animal care, kennel or vet's office preferred volunteer experience in an animal shelter or rescue group considered certification in pet first aid and CPR are a plus experience bathing and cutting nails are a plus weekends and most holidays are required available at least 1 weekend day a week.
Key Competencies knowledge of dog behavior ability to manage and supervise dogs attention to detail communication skills ability to work unsupervised reliability adaptability ability to carry out instructions furnished in varying forms ability to lift 40 pounds and be on your feet for extended times ability to multi task flexibility Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Ensuring dogs are placed safely into respective playgroups Bringing animals to and from the kennel during check-in and check-out times as requested.
Rotate dogs in and out of play yards.
(Check on every 10 minutes and closely supervise out w/supervision dogs) Cleaning up after animals both inside and outside, clean animal runs, cages and play yards.
Maintaining kennel as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to:
Cleaning up animal waste, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, laundry, washing dishes Assisting co-workers with supporting basic animal care and cleaning as requested.
Feeding and medicating dogs.
Flexibility to be cross trained on bathing Reception Duties Include Checking in/out clients Answering phones Making reservations Filing client paperwork New client intake Updating records Neat and accurate recording of medications, belongings, feeding instructions, etc.
