Seeking a motivated individual willing to work in a fast paced team oriented environment developing on a vendor based financial application project using Agile methodologies. The system is highly configurable system requiring a variety of development skill sets.
Ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of SQL, HTML, jQuery, and CSS. The backend database is SQL Server and the candidate must have strong knowledge in SQL or similar relational databases as well as database constructs.
Candidate ideally should have experience in creating custom APIs and experience developing/ modify custom windows services. Experience using MS Visual Studio.
Responsibilities also include participating in design sessions with BSAs and Business leads, unit testing, and documenting changes. Occasionally requires troubleshooting and correcting production related issues. May also direct work of other application developers.
Responsibilities:
- Create custom web services
- Create web pages and documents using HTML, CSS and jQuery (Java) and SQL technologies
- Creates new and modify existing business rules using a custom built business rules engine. Must be able to interpret business requirements and apply those to the rules engine
- Create SQL scripts, queries, etc.
- Know or be able to learn Agile development methodologies
- Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and revise changes. Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures
- Interfaces with business system analysts and business leads to prototype then design, code, test and implement changes.
- Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years experience in Application Development
- At least 5 years experience creating web pages and documents using HTML, CSS and jQuery (Java) and SQL technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in Application Development

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
