Position Overview:
The Actuarial (Pricing) department at this Insurance company is looking for a high-caliber, entrepreneurial leader to help take our rapidly growing business to the next level. On a daily basis, this individual will be responsible for:
Provide day-to-day direction and general oversight to our growing team of actuaries and analysts.
Develop and train team-member skillsets and technical expertise levels, including providing best-practice analyses and tools for making pricing recommendations.
As member of our senior management team, engage in constant collaboration to refine and adjust the companys overall pricing strategy and objectives.
Own and manage implementation of the pricing strategy, and tactics, in support of overall business objectives.
Develop and maintain actuarial models and processes, including rate structures; provide actuarial support for rate filings countrywide.
Collect, analyze and interpret loss experience data, including estimating IBNR reserves and forecasting current new business and renewal rate levels.
Work closely across business functions to better understand, communicate and improve business performance including finance, claims, underwriting, sales, product, marketing, customer service, and IT.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude; continuously identify and introduce new opportunities, approaches and solutions to improve business results.
Manage relationships with third-party pricing vendors as well as managing the overall pricing department budget.
Qualifications:
Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society required, Fellow preferred.
Bachelors degree and strong track record of academic success required.
8
years of professional experience in the property/casualty insurance industry with 3 or more years of relevant auto insurance actuarial experience preferred.
Experience partnering across business units to accomplish objectives.
Successful track record of people management and staff development.
Predictive modeling experience desirable.
Advanced Excel skills required.
SAS, SQL, Visual basic, R, or other programming skills a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
