One of the Richmond area's leading employers is looking to hire an experienced Compensation Analyst to provide operational and analytical support to the organization's compensation function with the Human Capital Management Department. More specifically, the successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting the administration of Markel's base pay and incentive programs, including the annual compensation review and bonus cycles.

Primary
Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage complex calculation spreadsheets during the annual compensation review and bonus payout processes, with a focus on accuracy and final payroll processing.
Prepare and provide monthly accrual reports to Corporate Accounting as it relates to annual compensation review and bonus payouts.
Manage projects such as survey participation to determine company's competitive positioning
Perform job design analysis in support of maintaining the company's overall job structure.
Perform daily administration activities to include the Employee Stock Purchase and Loan Program, to include processing stock loan applications, lump sum purchases, biweekly payroll purchases and sale transactions.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the analysis, design and administration of compensation programs is desirable.
Strong problem solving, communication skills and presentation skills are required.
Must have good organizational skills, ability to work independently and yet be a strong team player.
Advanced MS Office skills required including Word (Forms, Fields, Importing, Cross-Referencing), Excel (Functions, H & V Lookups, Conditional Formatting, Pivot Tables/Charts, Exports, Analytical Add-Ins, Macros) and PowerPoint.
Ability to shift priorities and complete projects within allotted deadlines.
Ability to travel during scheduled projects such as program rollouts may be necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
